Actress and singer Janet Jackson is the latest of celebrity spokespersons for a weight loss program after Nutrisystem announced on Thursday that they are teaming up with the superstar for the launch of its SUCCESS campaign. Jackson, who has always been vocal about her life-long struggle with body image, has allowed the program to showcase her weight loss journey by eating sustainable, healthy meals.
“Dieting never worked for me, counting calories never worked for me, and denying myself the foods I love never worked for me. I needed a better plan, and I found it with Nutrisystem,” reveals Jackson. “… I am seeing results already, and I am so impressed by both the thought and the nutritional science behind the program.”
In her first effort as an author, the multitalented entertainer wrote True You, which shot to number one on The New York Times bestseller list. In the book, Jackson describes her unhealthy relationship with food and her battle with self- esteem; an issue that so many women can relate to.
“There are millions of women like me who want to be successful but don’t have the tools to do it on their own. I hope I can help inspire them.”
In honor of the partnership between Jackson and Nutrisystem, True You is launching in soft cover.
